What was Once

When it was the first day of this school year, one particularly transformative aspect of my learning was my perception of blogging. Initially, I associated it exclusively with journalists. However, my perspective underwent a significant shift during my grade 10 experience. I now firmly believe that anyone can engage in blogging, provided they effectively convey their thoughts and ideas. I also realized that while blogging may seem challenging, with dedicated effort, one can overcome these challenges and create engaging content. This realization has underscored the significance of effective communication in the digital age, emphasizing the potential for personal expression and knowledge sharing through online platforms. Blogging also has benefits because it is not just about typing your thoughts, but it can lead to new opportunities, such as speaking engagements, freelance gigs, high-paying job offers, and more.

Our introductory lessons delved into the origins of the internet, which, despite the challenge of memorizing specific dates, became an essential part of my learning journey. Beyond this, I delved into understanding the intricate tools and services available on the internet, comprehending how web servers and web browsers collaborate, and learning to classify the various types of data present on the internet. Furthermore, I grasped the workings of the World Wide Web, including the ability to identify different components within a Web Browser and classify a Domain Name System. From having little to no knowledge about these concepts, I have now developed the ability to grasp and comprehend their functionalities. I can also appreciate the practical applications of these lessons in real-life situations, understanding how they can be beneficial in various contexts.

Throughout the making of my 5 blogs, from drafts to published, there is one thing I have realized, a good blog requires big effort. This realization has mirrored my experience in the initial phase of my ICT (Information and Communications Technology) education during the first quarter of grade 10. Transitioning from grade 9 to grade 10 initially felt overwhelming, but gradually, I managed to find my footing in the new academic setting. In addition, studying and understanding concepts alongside my peers greatly contributed to my academic progress. In particular, the support of my friends, with whom I reviewed and studied, was crucial to my success in this quarter. Without their assistance, I don't think I would have made it through this challenging period.
